If Spider-Man : Homecoming were to be made in Bollywood, who would it be?
Spider-Man is one of the most loved superheroes of India and with just 3 weeks away from the latest release i.e 7th July, the buzz has already created a lot of anticipation amongst the fans across the country.
The trailer of the movie was launched in 10 different languages across the country and got a massive response as one of the movies to watch out for this summer. The movie is also set to launch in around four languages in India.
We wonder if Spider-Man: Homecoming was remade in Bollywood, how different would the star cast be and who would direct the movie?
1) Spider-Man/ Peter Parker aka Aryan Khan
As we know how Tom Holland navigates his new found identity as the web-slinging superhero in the movie, we think Aryan Khan can be the Indian version of Tom Holland who can swing from one building to another with ease. He has the abs and also has the perfect built to pull this role. As the lab spider bitten superhero is more of a goofball than hot.
Michael Keaton is playing the role of Vulture in the Marvel movie. “The Vulture” is a moniker used by four different Spider-Man villains, all of whom can fly, which is their main thing. Irrfan Khan resembles the character and the character sketch is exactly what Irrfan is famous for. Hence our vote for this one goes to Irrfan Khan.
3) Michelle aka Alia Bhatt
The character of Michelle who is one of Peter’s best friends is played by Zendaya. Marvel producer Eric Carroll says, “I can tell you that Zendaya is playing a character named Michelle. And I promise you, when the movie comes out, that her name is Michelle.” As We know that the character is that of a school girl, Alia Bhatt comes to our mind in the blink of an eye. Alia is known for her role in Student of The Year and no one would be able to pull off the role of Zendaya other than Alia Bhatt.
4) Tony Stark/ Iron man aka Shahrukh Khan
Robert Downey Jr. has been playing Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began in 2008, and while the franchise has introduced many more heroes since then, he still remains one of its primary figures. He is known for his witty comments and care free nature and who else can we think of for his Bollywood version except for the one and only Shah Rukh Khan. Just like Robert, Shah Rukh Khan is also known for his witty and gullible nature. No second thoughts on this one.
5) Director of the movie aka Rohit Shetty
Jon Watts was selected to director this venture of the Marvel Studios because Feige was impressed with Watts growth as a filmmaker. Jon has directed the movie Cop Car which impressed Feige at first. Known for his action-packed movies in Bollywood, the one name that strikes our mind is Rohit Shetty. Rohit may be able to give equal justice to the Bollywood version of Spider-Man.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India's ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ releases in India on 7th July in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu.
