From Thor's Cate Blanchett to Priyanka Chopra, top female villains of all time!

Fans across the globe, including India are gearing up in excitement to see Marvel’s First Female Villain Hela in Thor Ragnarok releasing on 3rd November, played by none other than the Oscar winner Cate Blanchett!
Speaking of marvel's first female villain Hela, played by Cate Blanchett, Chris Hemsworth has publicly said, "Cate’s Blanchett is just brilliant as Hela. She is one of the greatest actors that has ever been. I had ideas of what she might do but I was completely blindsided by the outcome. She just has this insane off-kilter attitude or look or kind of movement to her character."

While we wait in bated breath for Hela to unleash her villainy on Thor, Loki and The Hulk, heres recapturing some of the best female villains in cinema of all time in Hollywood and Bollywood!
Cate Blanchett – Thor: Ragnarok
Blanchett took on the role of the fearsome Hela in which she becomes Marvel’s first on-screen female villain, and will also see her destroying Thor’s famous hammer, Mjölnir. Co-star Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk, has said that Blanchett “plays the worst of the worst. [Hela is] so evil.” Looks like its chills on 3rd November!
Rosamund Pike - Gone Girl
Pike was an icy-cool Amy Dunne in David Fincher's 2014 adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling thriller.
Tilda Swinton - The Chronicles of Narnia
Swinton has played the cold-hearted White Witch in a trilogy of Narnia films - and terrified generations of children in the process as the icy villainess.
Cruella De Vil- 101 Dalmations

Basic Instinct
After appearing in unsuccessful movies, Sharon Stone got her big break by uncrossing her legs during the scene of the police investigation. Thanks to her evil performance in this sex thriller, Basic Instinct made millions at the box office.
Bellatrix Umbridge and Dolores Umbridge- Harry Potter Franchise

Konkona Sen Sharma
The actual ‘daayan’ of the movie was Konkona Sen Sharma – she sent right shivers up the audience’s spine as a witch disguised in a khadi sari-clad mysterious woman with kohl-lined eyes.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra plays a powerful, successful boss-lady who seduces her office junior with who she has a history – and tries all sorts of tricks to get him back, in ‘Aitraaz’. And she fits the bill perfectly as the sultry seductress. Her villainous performance had won her a number of awards and much praise from critics as well as audiences.
Bipasha Basu
The sizzling Bipasha Basu got her first nomination for a negative role for the cult hit 2003 movie ‘Jism’ and established Bipasha even more firmly in her Bollywood career.
Kajol
The very first woman to make the Filmfare list of actors commended for their negative role was Kajol for her role as a psychopathic killer in ‘Gupt’ – one of the best films of 1997.
Urmila Matondkar
Her acting in ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’ was nothing short of brilliant – an obsessed, jealous mistress who turns a stalker, with the tables turned on a man this time!

Makers of Simran saddened by the groundless gossip around the film

Director Hansal Mehta sharing his thoughts on these rumours said, "All this speculation is false, malicious and totally fabricated. I collaborate closely with my team and my actors are an integral part of that collaboration. It angers me that every time some malicious gossip has to be spread people meaninglessly drag Kangana into their stupid machinations. She is a valued friend, actor and collaborator. Period. I'm even more hurt that some malicious person chooses to drag my relationship with Vishal Bhardwaj into this malice. Vishal is one of my dearest friends and if I am making films today it is because of him. I would never say anything that could remotely even hurt or upset somebody I love so dearly and to whom I am so grateful.".
Bhushan Kumar says, "We are very saddened with this news. Her sitting on the edit table is completely false. We all work as a team and her feedback on every promo and plan is crucial. At the end, the film is a director's vision and the film campaign will stay close to that only."
Simran has garnered a lot of appreciation since the launch of the teaser of the film. A T-Series and Karma Features PVT. LTD. film, Simran is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Shailesh R Singh, Krishan Kumar and Amit Agarwal. The film is set to release on 15th September 2017.

Ragini Khanna excited about her role in debut film Gurgaon

The pretty and talented Ragini Khanna is quite excited about her role in Gurgaon. On being asked how she bagged the role, Ragini Khanna says, “When I read the script, I was very excited that the director saw me as an actor and not just as a bubbly girl out of a TV show. To get an opportunity which is so creative is very evolving for an actor. It was liberating for me, as I explored a lot of untapped emotional areas and it was a journey of self-discovery. Especially since my director Shanker Raman is very generous, I confess that it was an enriching experience for me working on the sets of Gurgaon.”
Ragini Khanna adds that as an actress, she has sunk her teeth into her role and is sure that she would be able to muster a lot of accolades for her performance in the film. Right now Ragini confesses that she is having no TV serial on hand and is open for many more exciting roles in films and would like to earn a name as she did in TV serials, especially Sasural Genda Phool. The film is produced by Ajay G. Rai and Alan McAlex of JAR Pictures along with Madhukar R. Musle of M.R. Filmworks, Nisha N. Sujan of Hashtag Film Studios and Abbas Ali Rattansi.
