Dr L Subramaniam was invited to a special reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in honour of India, to mark the start of the UK-India Year of Culture

As a part of the UK-India Year of Culture 2017, Dr L Subramaniam was one among several celebrities to have been nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II in Buckingham Palace. Ambi Subramaniam told that my dad Dr L Subramaniam performed and closed the cultural festival of India at UK 2017 Festival with the London Symphony Orchestra and premiered a new symphony called The Bharat Symphony. Dr L Subramaniam also thanked the Prime Minister for nominating him for the culture event. The UK-India of Culture 2017, which was led by finance minister Arun Jaitley, saw the presence of several dignitaries including Kapil Dev, Kamal Hassan, Manish Malhotra, Suresh Gopi and Gurdas Mann.

SARKAR 3 Trailer Launched By Amitabh Bachchan and Team

 In 2005, the Indian film genre of crime and entertaining family drama was shaken up with a new benchmark presented by maverick director Ram Gopal Varma with his blockbuster hit Sarkar. Starring thespian Amitabh Bachchan as the Godfatheresque patriarch of the city aka Subhash Nagre, the film's stellar success saw the second instalment in 2008 with Sarkar Raj, firmly establishing it as one of the most impact franchises of Indian cinema. After more than eight years, the franchise is back with Amitabh Bachchan's ubiquitous fury, his trademark intimidating stares, highly memorable one-liners, complemented by a crescendo of haunting music!

The hugely anticipated Sarkar 3 trailer was launched amidst much fanfare in the presence of the legend himself, Amitabh Bachchan, who extensively spoke about how this franchise has been special for him. He also shared his experiences while shooting the film and spearheaded a fun interaction with his costars on stage namely Jackie Shroff, Amit Sadh, Yami Gautam, Rohini Hattangadi and director, Ram Gopal Varma.

Also Present on stage launching the trailer were the producers and presenters of the film, CEO Rahul Mittra (Wave Cinemas) and Parag Sanghvi (Alumbra Entertainment) along with Mr Nandu Ahuja, Sr. VP, India Theatrical, Eros International.

With the trailer being played to thunderous applause at the event, director Ram Gopal Verma was delighted with the response and spoke about how it was a challenge to work on a successful sequel due to the high audience expectations. He spoke about his journey with the film and his experiences teaming up again with Mr Bachchan and the rest of the exciting ensemble cast.

Real life couple Anirudh Dave and Shubhi Ahuja to play reel life couple in Dheeraj Kumar serial YARO ka Tashan on Sab TV

Anirudh Dave has turned second time lucky! The actor's wife, Shubhi Ahuja, will play his heroine in Dheeraj Kumar show Y.A.R.O Ka Tashan.The show is produced by Creative Eye Ltd . Anirudh Dave and Shubhi Ahuja had worked together in Bandhan two years ago but weren't a couple back then.

Interestingly, Anirudh was clueless about his wife bagging a part in the show.“I had no idea that she had gone for the audition and got finalised. Even my creative team kept it a secret. I learnt about it much later, during the mock shoot. She wanted to work with me and I am glad to have got a second chance.“

Ask him if he was instrumental in getting her the role and he replies, “No, every actor gets work on merit and no one can take that credit away. It would be interesting as she will romance my character, which is a machine.“

Will it be difficult for him to restrict his emotions while romancing his real wife? “On the set, she is just another co-actor. I am a professional and can't allow my personal life to dictate my work,“ he avers.

Arjun Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurana come together for a TVC Shoot

While we know that beards are the toast of the season, rarely have we seen two beardos getting them trimmed together. Dangal fame actor Aparshakti Khurana was recently spotted with the very talented Arjun Kapoor in Filmcity. Seems the two bonded well on set. Rumour has it that the two boards will be seen together in a TVC soon. 

Mustafa-The new dancing sensation!

Mustafa’s debut film ‘Machine’ has been creating quite the buzz with its recently launched trailer and also the romantic song ‘Itna Tumhe’ which has been well received by audiences.

Adding to the impressive music album is the new song of ‘Chatur Naar’, which shows the dancing side of the nimble footed Mustafa! While the trailer showed Mustafa's macho and action packed avatar, the charming debutant will be seen matching energetic and quirky steps to the catchy peppy tunes, with Kiara Advani...looks like we might just have the party anthem of this season!

The song, which is releasing today has been penned by Niket Pandey, sung by Nakash Aziz & Shashaa Tirupati, Ekka and composed by Tanishk Bagchi.

From the sound of it to its look and feel, the song will be a groovy, peppy number. It is choreographed by Bosco-Caesar and the steps will make you want to get on the dance floor.

The prestigious 16th Annual Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards 2016 completed sweet sixteen with grandeur and glam

The only of its kind grand tradition of felicitating best artists and technicians very year has created history by completing  16th celebration this year. 49 best Gujarati artists were felicitated at The 16th Annual Transmedia Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards 2016, which was held at Hotel Tulip Star, Juhu, Mumbai.

This year, was a record 45 Gujarati films participated for awards and also the competition was between 31 Mumbai dramas, 18 Gujarat Dramas, 5 Television serials. More than 350 artists and technicians have nominated in around 42 various categories.

The 16th year was celebrated with the grandeur of settings and Lights and The star-studded glamour of performances by Film and Tv Stars of the young generation.

Mr Rashmi Kamdar and Mrs Bhavna Kamdar (USA) is sponsoring Rs. 51,000/- cash Prize for Life Time Achievement Awardees since 2004. Mrs Rupa Ananad Pandit is sponsoring 51,000/- for Best Mumbai Drama.

Shri Jasmin Shah, MD of Transmedia made the moment energetic amongst the present audience of 4,000 when he Thanks the Chief Minister of Gujarat for announcing encouraging Policy for Gujarati Films, which resulted in maximum films this year.  He predicted that, when the awards started in 2001, only 8 to 10 films were made in a year, it has increased gradually to 30-40, but after the declaration of policy yearly 100 films will be made and the Gujarati Film Industry will cross 100 crores. Also, there will be a great work generation for the Artists and Technicians.

The dignitaries present on the dias were Film Star Jitendra Kapoor, Shri Manohar Kanungo, Shri Jayantilal Gada of Pen Video, Sanjay Upadhyaya and Anuj Poddar of colors -Viacom 18,  Manoj Desai (producer “khuda gavah’ ), Manoj Joshi,Maryam Zakaria,Akanksha Puri,Padamshri Bhikhudan Gadhavi, and many others. They all wished Jasmin Shah for the 16th year and also supported to his thoughts for Gujaratis at one voice.

In Mumbai Drama ‘Prem nu Pay TM’ and ‘yug Purush’ shared maximum awards, whilst In Gujarat Drama ‘Devdasini’ of Surat, ‘A rear view’ of Jamnagar and ‘Samudra Manthan’ of Ahmedabad shared most awards. Tv serial ‘Shukra-Mangal’ won major awards whilst in Films “Thai Jashe”, ‘wrong side Raju”, ‘Romkom” and ‘’ Je pan kahish te sachu kahish’ shared major awards, Sneha Devgania awarded Best Actress for ‘je pan kahish te sachu kahish” and Malhar Thakar awarded Best actor for ‘Thai Jashe”.

 “Wrong side Raju” was declared Best Film and RED FM Listener’s choice best film was declared “Thai Jashe”.

This year also this entire event will telecast on ‘Colors Gujarati’  and then on “Soham” tv channel.

Life Time achievement Award was presented to Annapurna Shukla and Naresh Kanodia.
