Some things are always worth the wait, especially if it involves Varun Dhawan in a never seen before avatar! The makers of Bhediya have just unveiled the film’s first look poster along with the release date. 

Shrouded in mystic red, Varun's look makes for quite a spectacular image. The film also stars Kriti Sanon. 

Featuring Hollywood’s premier effects studio Mr. X, the Amar Kaushik directorial is touted to boast of exquisite visual effects.

Mr.X, the award winning effects company, part of Technicolor Creative Studios, is renowned for its stellar creature and environment work in the Oscar nominated “Love and Monsters” as well as the Emmy winning “Vikings”. 

Talking about his collaboration with Mr. X, producer Dinesh Vijan says, “Mr. X has been a pioneer in the industry, having created some of the most spellbinding visual masterpieces of recent movie history. Ever since we conceptualised Bhediya, we knew our film needed the expertise of Mr. X to weave that epic scale”. 

Director Amar Kaushik also chimes in, “Bhediya is a tale filled with awe-inspiring imagery. Each and every member of the cast and crew knew that we were crafting something very special. It’s not just the path breaking VFX; the film is a feast for the eyes in every aspect possible”.

In Bhediya, the makers are creating a breathtaking world through the magic of visual effects. Achieving something this unique does take time, and if sources are to be believed, the team does not want to rush this intricate process. 

The film marks Dhawan’s biggest project to date, and will now hit cinemas on the 25th of November 2022.

With the effects studio behind WandaVision, Mortal Kombat, Hellboy and Ad Astra all set to bring Bhediya to life, looks like a solid big screen bonanza awaits audiences next year.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya is written by National Award winner, Niren Bhatt.

SPENCER, FILM ON PRINCESS DIANA, TO RELEASE IN INDIA ON 19TH NOVEMBER

 

Impact Films announces the theatrical release of the current year’s one of the most talked-about and highly rated English language films, titled SPENCER by Pablo Larrain across the  Nation on 19th Nov. It features Kristen Stewart in the lead role of Princess Diana and Jack Farthing as Prince Charles, beautifully supported by Sally Hawkins and Timothy Spall.  

Spencer concentrates on three turbulent days in the life of Diana during the Christmas of 1991  where Diana and her family are staying at Sandringham, a well known royal tradition. Over  Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, Diana realises that her marriage is breaking down and doesn’t want to be the future queen. The biopic gives the audience a glimpse into the character of Princess Diana whizzing through many official engagements she attended, a frosty dynamic with the royal family, and plenty of emotional scenes exploring the late Princess’s vulnerability and how she struggled to fit in. 

The film debuted at the Venice Film Festival. It then screened at several renowned film festivals like Toronto, Telluride, New York, etc., before getting released in the United States and the United Kingdom on 5th Nov. It has already emerged as the frontrunner in the upcoming Academy Awards for the Best Actress for Kristen Stewart. It is likely to land nominations in some other categories as well. On playing Diana, Kristen Stewart says,” At that moment, we’re not trying to depict what happened in there, but it is, maybe, an idea of what happened inside of her.” 

Chilean director Pablo Larrain has created several flicks with strong female characters and is known for Oscar-nominated film Jackie. Pablo, who has been fascinated and had been thinking about making a film on this subject for a while, believes, ”Everything our Diana sees is a reflection of her memories, her fears and desires and maybe even her illusions.” 

SPENCER is a biopic that excels in every filmmaking department, including Script by  Steven Knight, Cinematography by World famous Claire Mathon, Costume Designer  Jacqueline Durran, Composer Jonny Greenwood, Makeup & hair design by Wakana Yoshihara and Production Design by Guy Hendrix Dyas. The film was shot entirely in Germany & UK.

_The actress will be seen doing a face-off with Aditya Roy Kapur as a cop in the Hindi remake of the Tamil Hit Thadam_

Aditya Roy Kapur has created a stir with the recent announcement of joining the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Thadam. Now makers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani have a brand new addition to the film. The young actress Mrunal Thakur has joined the team as the female lead opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. 

Having various remarkable characters to her name, this will be for the first time the actress will be seen playing a strong-headed cop. Based on true events, this yet to be titled thriller directed by Vardhan Ketkar will go on floors in October this year.

Talking about joining the team, Mrunal shares, "When I heard the story of the film, I instantly knew that I needed to be a part of this film. My character is very intriguing and playing a cop has been on my checklist. This will be a very distinct role from all the characters I have played till now and I am looking forward to audiences watching this one."

Bringing the young actress on board, producer Bhushan Kumar shares, "When Murad Bhai and I were discussing the cop's character, we instantly thought of Mrunal. She has chosen many interesting roles in her films and also stood out with her performances in them. We thought that she would be perfect for this character and we are glad she is equally excited to be a part of this."

Welcoming the new addition to the team, producer Murad Khetani shares, "We wanted someone who has a soft personality but could put on a strong face when needed. During my discussion with Bhushanji, we instantly thought of Mrunal for the role. When we approached her with this character, she was excited and quickly came on board. We are looking forward to working with her."

Directed by Vardhan Ketkar, the film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.

Sonakshi Sinha and her brother Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha recently launched House of Creativity (HOC). The online art platform aims to showcase and promote Indian emerging artists. 

 HOC was lately brought on board to create the beautiful wall art at the Mahim beach which was created by Shabbu Painter (Akhlaq Ahmed ). Maharashtra Environment and Tourism minister Aaditya Thackeray was also present for the inaugural.

 Sonakshi Sinha, shared, "Art is very important for our society and we at House of Creativity are glad to associate with BMC for the beautification of Mahim beach. The amazing wall art created by painter Shabbu adds to the visual ascetics. Through this initiative, we want to pay tribute to all the wonderful artists and are hopeful this is just a start for more good work"

Luv Sinha, co-founder of HOC adds, "HOC is very proud to have worked on the beautification program of the Mahim beach. We got in touch with Shabbu painter and brainstormed on the artwork. It was a collaborative effort and we are happy with the way it turned out. Actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, renowned director VV Vinayak and Bollywood’s successful production house Pen Studios are joining forces for a Bollywood project which is official remake of India’s leading director SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster movie Chatrapathi.

The yet to be titled mass action entertainer film has been launched today in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad with the key team, Bellamkonda Sreenivas, VV Vinayak, Dr. Jayantilal Gada, and few special guests including Rajamouli and Sukumar gracing it. Rajamouli has sounded clapboard for the muhurtham shot, while star Rama Rajamouli switched on the camera and producer AM Ratnam did the honorary direction. The script has been handed over to the makers by Vijayendra Prasad.

A grand set is constructed in the same location of Rangasthalam village set and the film’s regular and lengthy schedule commences from today.

Present at the Muhurtham Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Director at Pen Studios said, “We are tremendously excited and thrilled as this is one of our grand projects along with talented actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and renowned Director VV Vinayak. After proving his mettle as one of the most happening stars of Tollywood, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas who is well-known for North audiences is all set to make his entry in Bollywood with this mega-budget venture. Bellamkonda will be stepping into the shoes of ‘Baahubali’ fame Prabhas. Tollywood’s mass director VV Vinayak who has numerous blockbusters to his credit in Telugu is also set to make his debut in Bollywood with this project.

Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad who penned the story for the original is the writer for the remake version as well. Known as a writer for blockbuster Hindi films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manikarnika, he made few changes to the script according to the tastes and sensibilities of Hindi audiences.

Known for making critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies, the film is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) and produced by Dhaval Gada and Aksshay Gada. Worldwide Distribution will be by Pen Marudhar Cine Entertainment. Pen studios will be making the film on a grand scale without compromising on the budget.

These four forces are coming together to translate this project into a magnum opus.

SS Thaman on board for Mega Power Star Ram Charan & Sensational Director Shankar's movie with Dil Raju -Shirish duo!*

Music director SS Thaman has been enlisted for the majestic mega-budgeted pan-Indian project that is coming in the combination of Mega Power Star Ram Charan, acclaimed director Shankar and successful producers Dil Raju-Shirish duo. Sri Venkateswara Creations has roped in the most-happening composer, rising expectations for this big-ticket project. 

This is Thaman's first collaboration with Director Shankar. Thaman first began his career as an actor in Shankar's 'Boys' and the talented music director is extremely delighted about the collaboration with the master showman. He is looking forward to delivering a fabulous set of scores. Thaman made his debut as a music director in a Shankar-produced movie. "My first film was his production 'Eeram’ (Telugu – Vaishali). The first tune that I had composed for this movie received an instant approval from Shankar Garu. It feels special to team up with such a fantastic director after all these years." Thaman says.  

The star composer embarked on Ram Charan's introduction song recording work on July 14 & 15 in Hyderabad. As many as 135 various instrument players from different places have been roped in for this song. Director Shankar came to Hyderabad to record this huge musical spectacle. Ram Charan also came over to witness this and was excited with what he saw and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Producers Dil Raju and Shirish are producing this movie as SVC's 50th outing and the project will hit floors soon. Harshith Reddy will be co-producing the film.

National Icon Taapsee Pannu has been basking in glory with her back-to-back hits.  After working for more than a decade in Indian Cinema, Taapsee adds another milestone in her career, as she launches her production house ‘Outsiders Films’.

For Outsiders Films, she has joined forces with Pranjal Khandhdiya who is a content creator and producer for over 20 years.  He has been involved in the production of renowned films such as Super 30, 83, Soorma, Piku, Mubarakan, Azhar and is also producing Rashmi Rocket, starring Taapsee.

RRR is being touted as one of the biggest film of 2021 as this is SS Rajamouli’s next after the grand 'Baahubali' series. The fictionalised tale will showcase Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the iconic roles of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively, showcasing the journey of before they became legends. 

The film's recent announcements and poster looks have received weaves of love and appreciation from the audience. It is counted as one of the most awaited films of the year, which will bring up the Indian cinema back to its feet, after the pandemic hit.

Abhishek Bachchan wraps the Agra schedule of Dasvi!

Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is in Agra shooting for Dinesh Vijan's social comedy film 'Dasvi' has wrapped up the first schedule of the film.

Abhishek and the entire crew will be heading directly to Lucknow to commence the second schedule of the film.

The film also features Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. Directed by Tushar Jalota, the film is written by Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair and Sandeep Leyzell.

With an appearance as unique as the man himself, Abhishek Bachchan is all set to create another stir for his upcoming movie The Big Bull. Essaying the role of Hemant Shah, a stockbroker, he will soon share the screen with co-star Nikita Dutta in the new melody – Ishq Namazaa. 

The song has been created to portray the loving relationship between the two characters and showcase the real strength of their bond that stands the test of time. This soulful song is sung by one of the most celebrated singers, Ankit Tiwari, Composed by Gourob Dasgupta and the deep and meaningful lyrics are penned by Kunwar Juneja.

Talking about the song, Director Kookie Gulati shares, "It was very important for us to show Hemant Shah's relationship with his wife as she was one of the key people who were part of his entire journey. When I first heard Ishq Namazaa, I just knew that it is a perfect fit to share this story of love and both Abhishek and Nikita have showcased beautiful chemistry. I am really looking forward to the audiences to see a glimpse of their beautiful relationship through this song."

A lesbian love story in a Hindi music video for the first time

Tarsame Mittal, who manages a bevvy of famous singers, presents India's first music video which beautifully depicts the love story between two women. Tarsame echoes the sentiment "Love is unconditional" while talking about the video, which is being discussed widely since its launch last week.  

For a video which features new faces as well as a new singer, it is no small feat to have received almost 10 lakh views in just ten days. What's even more pleasantly surprising is the positive response the lesbian love story has been getting. 

Naturally, in a society still not open to homosexuality, some naysayers are bound to make appearances. So why did the makers take this route? "Debutant singer Akshay Khot's song is a beautiful romantic melody. But there is no shortage of romantic music videos today. So we thought, why not make it thought-provoking? That's when we came up with this concept," explains Tarsame. 

In 2014, Celina Jaitley's remix of the iconic Bollywood song 'Uthe Sabke Kadam' titled The Welcome depicted a gay relationship. "Our song Tere Bagair is the first of its kind to show a lesbian love story," says Tarsame. Previously, Sonam Kapoor's love story Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is the only other open depiction of a lesbian love story in the Indian popular culture. 

Tarsame believes that a real change will only come when society accepts that all love is love. "In our video, the two women are in love with each other and share a healthy functional relationship. But what happens at the end is what we need to stop normalising," explains Tarsame.

Ideally, songs and videos are promoted before the launch. But this reverse approach has a solid reason. "We wanted to see how people react to the video first. It is being loved and appreciated although everyone involved is new, actors Moumita Pal and Sofia, and singer Akshay Khot. Now that the song is getting so much love, we want to talk about it," elaborates Tarsame. 

The video features a kissing scene between the two women, a controversial move some may argue. "On one hand we're talking about normalising homosexuality. And on the other hand, we're questioning a kissing scene. Especially in the post-OTT era, where everything gets a pass." 

Controversial murmurs gradually come to the fore when something out of the ordinary is represented. "I will reiterate as many times as is necessary. Change comes from acceptance. And every real change takes time. Instead of criticism, I welcome an open dialogue. If our video can open the stage for an open-minded discussion as opposed to a hateful dismissal, then I believe that it has won," concludes Tarsame.
